Leaving the Wrecksite

Friday 7. June 2002:

I got out of bed at 08:00.

I spent most of the day helping making a database of the wreck recordings for Discovery Channel.

The Keldysh picked up the transponders and at 16:15 we left the wreck site.

At 16:30 the last commemoration was held for the victims of the loss of the Bismarck.

The Keldysh was now on its way to the Azores (group of islands belonging to Portugal).

I went to bed at 03:00 in the morning.

Saturday 8. June 2002:

I got out of bed at 07:00.

I spent most of the morning watching film recordings from dive 6.

At 11:00 photos of all Mir divers were taken.

The rest of the day I spent relaxing.

I went to bed at 02:00 in the morning.

Sunday 9. June 2002:

I got out of bed at 11:00.

I spent most of the day helping make a database of the wreck recordings for Discovery Channel.

I went to bed at 03:00 in the morning.

Monday 10. June 2002:

I got out of bed at 09:00.

I relaxed and had a good time with the other team members.

At night we had a barbecue party together with the Russian crew on the pool deck.

I went to bed at 03:45 in the morning.

Tuesday 11. June 2002:

I got out of bed at 11:00.

Relaxed all day and had a good time with the other team members.

We were all looking forward to seeing land again.

I went to bed at 01:00 in the morning.
