This photo shows the entrance to Grimstadfjord. Bismarck and Prinz Eugen entered Grimstadsfjord from Korsfjord, see position "1" on the photo. When Prinz Eugen left Grimstadfjord to go to Kalvanes it turned to the right (see position "2" to go further north to Kalvanes. When Bismarck left Grimstadfjord later the same day, 21. May 1941, it also passed position "2" to meet Prinz Eugen and the escorting destroyers in Kalvanes. Bismarck was anchored just outside of this photo to the right (see photo above).
