Tirpitz anchored in a Norwegian fjord during winter 1942/43. She is attacked by the RAF only once that winter and the attack fails due to fog and very low sight. Hypothetical there is one bomb dropped blindly, but it fails to hit the ship and plunge into the water near the bow. The whole crew is on alert and all guns are manned and ready to fire.
Eduart photo etched parts was used for the model. A bit scratch build details was made too, like the night-rangefinders on the conning-tower. |
Construction time | Almost 1 year, with some breaks in between. |
