Spanish Patrol
Admiral Graf Spee participated in five international operations patrolling in Spanish waters from 1936 to 1938 because of the Spanish Civil War. On these photos the crew rest on the forecastle and around the forward 28 cm SK L/52 C28 main turret.
A view of Admiral Graf Spee's forward 28 cm SK L/52 C28 main turret called S.M.S. Scharnhorst. It is easy to see that the photo is taken while Admiral Graf Spee was involved in the patrolling of the Spanish waters as it has black, white and red stripes (the German colours) painted on her turret.
