Except the English captions the text in the book is entirely written in Polish which I sadly don't understand. But the text describes the history of Bismarck and Operation "Rheinübung".
The book is richly illustrated with many photos of high quality, drawings, maps and scans from Bismarck's reconstructed logbook. Notice that the photo shown on page 40 is claimed being Bismarck during the Denmark Strait Battle. In reality it is an image from the 1960 film "Sink the Bismarck".
Three pages shows excellent camouflage schemes of Bismarck. The paint schemes are fairly accurate, but I don't fully agree in the colours used and all paint scheme details. Still I enjoy looking at them.
Not only will the buyer get a very good book, but he will also get some very well made drawings of Bismarck. These drawings are well worth the book-price alone. There are some extremely well made and better drawings of Bismarck available on the market which also show many details, but they cost much more than this book and the drawings included. If you plan to scratch build a model of Bismarck based on the Polish drawings, you also would need to buy the fourth book in this series, EOW 18 - Pancerniki Typu Bismarck cz. 3 - Bismarck, to get more detailed drawings of Bismarck. You can read a book review about this book too on this website.
I highly recommend this book for ship modellers and Bismarck and Tirpitz enthusiasts. It is an excellent and very useful book.
