Classic Warships always put a lot of efforts into the cover of their books. The front cover for the Yamato Class book is a genuine masterpiece showing a painting made by famous naval artist Tom Freeman.

It is well-known that not many photos of these ships exist., as almost all documents and photos were destroyed by the Japanese. I know many have searched the internet to try to find new photos of these giants, just like I have. Now I can see almost all existing photos in the new book from Classic Warships and even in a much better quality than I have seen before. Generally the photo quality is lower than in the other books from Classic Warships, but the photos of the Yamato Class ships simply aren't better. But I'm sure you can recognise from the samples below that the photo quality here is quite good.

The book cover Yamato, Musashi and even Shinano, that was converted into an aircraft carrier. The book also tells the histories of all three ships.

The book is 64 pages + cover with 70 black and white and one colorized photographs. Many I have never seen before. Also 8 sets of technical drawings and general statistics are included.

The book fills a gap in my reference library and I'm sure it will for many others.

I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in these ships.
