USS Kalinin Bay CVE-68; after the Yamato battle group broke out of the San Bernardino strait the battle group engaged the USS Escort carrier group.
Heavy shells fired with dyes to mark the shots of the Japanese Imperial fleet explode around the Escort Carrier.
Kamikazes above; the flight deck crew struggles to launch the remaining 2 aircraft to lessen the risk of fires.
The AA gunners blaze away at the Japanese aircrews determined efforts to sacrifice their own lives to win the battle.
